Young Thagard's attorneys have litigated and tried cases in the federal and state courts throughout south Georgia, in front of judges and juries, before the Court of Appeals of Georgia, before the Supreme Court of Georgia, before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and in mediations and arbitrations.  Although our attorneys are licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in Georgia, we focus on serving the South Central Georgia region, principally the counties of Lowndes, Brooks, Berrien, Cook, Decatur, Atkinson, Tift, Coffee, Echols, Pierce, Irwin, Ben Hill, Ware, Colquitt, Thomas, Lanier, Clinch, and Grady.  Please see our Service Area Map.

We represent several insurance companies including being the primary defense attorneys in our home area for State Farm, Georgia Farm Bureau, Cotton States, Allstate and Nationwide.

Our litigation caseload has historically consisted of representing defendants in the following types of cases: motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, products liability, workers compensation, employment, employment discrimination, environmental, landlord-tenant, civil rights, and commercial. The firm also performs work in the areas of wills, estates, trusts, real estate, criminal defense and corporate law.
